On July 13, 2021, the "Ocean Explorer" polar expedition cruise ship was delivered by signing at CMI Haimen Base. This is the polar expedition cruise ship built by CMI for Sunstone Company, and also a cruise ship formally delivered after outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic. Ocean Explorer is classified according to the Bureau Veritas (BV). With the length of 104.4 m, width of 18.4 m and designed draft of 5.1 m, it uses the X-Bow design; therefore, it is more stable and comfortable when the ship sails in ice zones. The cruise ship follows the design concept of "going green and environmental protection, close to nature", and meanwhile fully absorbs the design and construction experience of the first polar expedition cruise ship "Greg Mortimer", achieving greater breakthrough in independent design and localization of materials.
