There are a total of two 3,800-space car carriers built at CMI Haimen Base. The construction of "Tang Hong" Steamship started on November 15, 2019, and the construction of the sister ship "Mao Hong" Ship started on April 1, 2020.

On August 18, 2021, CMI successfully delivered the second 3,800-space car carrier "Mao Hong" to China Merchants Energy Shipping in the form of "cloud delivery". After delivery, "Mao Hong" will operate on the domestic north-south route. This ship is designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute, subordinate to China State Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and is classified according to China Classification Society (CCS).
